Reports in the IB Times today suggests that Manchester united and French attacker Anthony Martial has been left frustrated with Jose Mourinho’s decision to axe him from United’s 1-1 draw with Stoke city last Saturday.
Reports in the Daily Mail also claimed that Anthony Martial didn’t make the squad for the Stoke City game without any reason and this has again hampered the relationship between the player and his manager.
Other reports suggest Jose Mourinho decided to axe the attacker after he put in a disappointing display against Liverpool’s teenager Trent Alexander Arnold in the red devils 1-1 draw with Liverpool few weeks back.
Last year, the Frenchman’s agent revealed that Spanish club Sevilla had interests in securing the services of Anthony Martial when the transfer window opens in January and he also disclosed that the offer from Sevilla was still under consideration adding that Sevilla is a good team and also play champions league football.
Following the comments by Martial’s agent, Jose Mourinho called on Martial and asked him to emulate Henrikh Mkhitaryan if he wants to cement his place in the first team and Mourinho also told BBC Radio:
“Anthony needs to listen to his manager and not his agent because I try to improve and offer him advice every day. During the Mkhitaryan process, his agent always called and told me Mkhitaryan is a great player but with Martial every day I see ‘Martial goes on loan, Martial goes to Sevilla’ but I believe he has to listen to me”.
