Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho last night seemed to be dissatisfied with assistant manager Rui Faria’s instructions to midfielder Paul Pogba before United’s Europa game with Ukraine side Zorya Luhansk at old Trafford.
Rui Faria consulted with two other staff members and this caught the attention of Jose Mourinho who immediately walked up to the three staffs, raised three fingers and slammed the instruction notebook.
When asked the reason for his action last night, the manager replied saying “it was all about set pieces, organization. Some changes were made and Paul Pogba seemed to be a little bit confused with the changes made.
United went on to win the match having 72% possession but had few attempts on goal both and most attempts coming from Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
England under-21 striker Marcus Rashford hit the crossbar in the first 45minutes but United looked weak in the midfield with slow Belgian player, Marouane Fellaini replacing Ander Herrera and questions were raised about the Belgian player overall performance.
Mourinho praised his team’s general performance and stated that hardwork was the key to United’s success last night. The manager also hinted that his players played poorly last night compared to last Saturday’s performance against reigning champions of England, Leicester city but he expressed satisfaction with the team’s professionalism.
The boss also praised the opposition team describing them as “very well organized” defensively. Zlatan scored in the 69th minute and also went on to win the man of the match award for his contribution and brilliant performance.
Manchester United play Stoke City next on Sunday at the theatre of dreams as they continue their premier league campaign.
