Manchester united has made enquiries to sign Valencia football club young midfielder Fran Villalba. Fran Villalba’s agent Vincente Fores confirmed the news stating Manchester united head coach Jose Mourinho has made possible contacts to sign the 18 year old midfielder.
Fran Villalba made his first team appearance under former Valencia coach Gary Neville during the manager’s disastrous La Liga campaign and is yet to make any appearance for the Spanish side since the beginning of the new season.
The 18 year old midfielder has been playing for Valencia’s team B this season and is reported to have a 4million euro release clause in his contract if he is going to leave the Valencia.
Vincente Fores told reporters that Jose Mourinho has already contacted him about the players’s situation and that the Portuguese is quite aware of the situation.
“Valencia football club might make it a bit difficult for the player to leave but I have already spoken to Manchester united representatives so it’s up to Manchester united”…. added Vincente.
Fran Villalba has already represented the Spanish youth national team has registered only four appearances for the Valencia senior team. His contract at the club runs till 2021.
Jose Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes helped Peter Lim takeover ownership of Valencia in 2014 and has established himself as an important figure in the club and also being in charge of the transfer of players and those he has close links with.
Jorge Mendes was involved in the transfer of seven players to Manchester united including the appointment of Jose Mourinho. He negotiated deals for the sale of Andre Gomes and Nicolas Otamendi away from the club.
