Manchester united attacker Jesse Lingard has admitted that the red devils haven’t been lucky recently with their results in the premier league but he has called on his teammates to prepare ahead of Wednesday’s EFL cup quarter final clash with West Ham and make amends by securing a place in the Semi-finals of the competition according to reports in Manutd.com.
Manchester united were held to a 1-1 draw with West Ham on Sunday at Old Trafford making it four consecutive draws at Old Trafford in the premier league and West Ham are set for another return on Wednesday night.
Jesse Lingard who saw his goal against West Ham canceled for offside revealed that Manchester united have been playing well and have been doing a lot of attacks but have found it difficult to find the back of the net.
He told MUTV after the game:
“The luck has been against us and now it is four draws in a row for us at home but we have to be ready for Wednesday’s game because our aim is to win so we will be ready to make amends and bounce back on Wednesday night”.
Meanwhile, Manchester united midfielders Marouane Fellaini and Paul Pogba will not partake in Wednesday’s game against West Ham after the duo picked up their fifth yellow card of the season during United’s draw with West Ham on Sunday.
Paul Pogba provided the assist for Zlatan Ibrahimovich to equalize for the red devils but picked up a yellow card for diving while Marouane Fellaini received a yellow card few minutes after coming on for Jesse Lingard for a harsh tackle on West Ham’s Mark Noble.
