Herrera Gets First National Team Call-up……Open Up On Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Following an impressive start to the premier league this season, Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has been selected to play for the Spain national team for the first time.

Spanish head coach Julen Lopetegui named the 27year old midfielder in the squad that’ll face Albania and Italy following the withdrawal of Bayern Munich’s Javi Martinez from the squad.

Herrera has featured for the Spanish under 20, 21 and 23 levels but has never played for the Spanish senior team.

Although he isn’t expected to be included the starting eleven against their opponents, his inclusion into the squad is a great opportunity for him to impress the national team’s head coach.

His inclusion into the Spanish national team has shown how hard he has worked this season after scoring his first goal of the season during United’s EFL Cup match against Northampton and also getting nominated for Manchester United’s September player of the month award.

Herrera has also impressed Jose Mourinho this season following an impressive central midfield partnership with club record signing Paul Pogba.

Ander Herrera has also hailed Manchester United teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic who celebrated his 35th birthday on Monday and the Spaniard has described the Swedish striker as a 35year old who still plays like he’s in his 20’s.

Following the striker’s arrival from Paris St. German of France this season, Herrera described the Swede as “Unbelievable” and said everyone at the club admires him.

Herrera expressed satisfaction with the way Zlatan Ibrahimovich takes care of himself off the pitch and the hard work he contributes to the success of the team. “Zlatan is an example for everyone. I’m not old or young, I’m in the middle so he is an example for me too. When you behave as a professional you can still be at a big club at 35”…. added the Spaniard.
