France captain and Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has also defended his countryman Paul Pogba following the midfielder’s slow start since arriving at Old Trafford.
Manchester United paid a world record fee for the former Juventus player but the player has had a difficult time at his new club.
Paul Pogba played his last game for Juventus in May in the Coppa Italia final game before joining his French teammates for the Euro 2016 competition where they won the silver medal.
The 23year old midfielder signed a contract with Manchester united on the 9th of August and played his first game under Jose Mourinho against Southampton on the 19th of August where he had a good game but has since endured a frustrating second start to life at Old Trafford.
Hugo Lloris explained that some of the players who played in the last Euro competition still have the same problems and difficulties like Paul Pogba. “Paul possesses many talents and qualities but a lot of little things have slowed him down.
His preparation for the new season wasn’t ideal either. His transfer to Manchester United was a world record transfer that’s why everyone is demanding of him but things will still work out well for him”
“I understand the high expectations around Paul. Expectations from the coach, the dressing room and the staffs of Manchester United but France is a team and not a player so we must all work together to get the best performance.
Paul has all it takes to be a great and successful player and he can prove that in big games”….added the goalkeeper.
