Reports in Belgium have revealed that current Europa league champions Manchester United scouts are monitoring Anderlecht midfielder Leander Dendoncker as the red devils are keen on signing the midfielder before the end of the summer transfer window.
Reports emerging from The Metro also disclosed that Manchester United scouts were present in Anderlecht’s opening league game against Antwerp to watch 22 year old Leander Dendoncker in action before making a move for the player.
However, it appears Manchester united isn’t the only team that wants to snatch the player as Italian giants AC Milan and German club side RB Leipzig have also joined the race to sign the highly rated midfielder but it is also reported that Anderlecht would not be listening to any offers for the player as they are also keen on retaining him in Belgium.
Manchester united manager Jose Mourinho has been in the transfer market in search of a midfielder and after being linked with the likes of Arturo Vidal, Nemanja Matic, Eric Dier and Renato Sanches, it appears the Portuguese tactician has found Leander Dendoncker as a worth midfield target and would make a move real soon.
Manchester United fans are also familiar with the player after he grabbed the equalizer for Anderlecht against Manchester United in the Europa league knockout stages last season but Manchester United went on to win the game in extra time courtesy of a Marcus Rashford goal.
