Manchester united defender Chris Smalling is enjoying partnership with Ivorian defender Eric Bailly and has hinted that their partnership is getting stronger by the day following an impressive defensive display this season for Manchester united.
Chris Smalling made his first start for Jose Mourinho this season on September 15 against Feyenoord football club and has since been a regular starter for Jose Mourinho alongside Eric Bailly.
He missed few games at the start of the season because of a match suspension he picked in United’s FA Cup final match against Crystal palace last season and also a slight injury.
Chris Smalling indicated that they were getting used to each other as they get to play more games together and he added that the French speaking Ivorian is also improving in speaking English.
Chris hinted that they need to be vocal and the Ivorian is adapting to life at old Trafford.
Bailly arrived at Old Trafford from Spanish side Villareal football club and has since been likened to former Manchester united defender Nemanja Vidic for his dominant, aggressive and no nonsense style of play.
Chris smalling described the Ivorian as easy to play with and physically imposing and expects the Ivorian to have a good time at Manchester united.
Also, former Ivorian defender Kolo Toure has also opened up on country-mate Eric Bailly saying Eric can go on and become one of the best defenders in the world.
Bailly and Toure played together for Ivory Coast in the last African cup of nations and has heaped praises on Eric following his transfer to the English premier league this season.
